About the Founder

I didn’t begin with threads, I began with the law. Trained as a law graduate, I was taught to question, to observe, and to understand the world beyond what is visible. Yet, somewhere between structure and logic, I found myself drawn to something far more instinctive beauty in its most human form.

Living across different parts of the world shaped me in ways I never expected. Each place, each culture, brought me closer to handcrafted art, the kind that carries stories, soul, and time within it. I was captivated by the imperfect perfection of handwoven textiles, and I began to see what many overlooked, these weren’t just fabrics, they were living legacies.

At some point, the path I was on no longer felt like my own. Choosing to step away from convention wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. I chose to trust that quiet voice within me, the one that believed in preserving and celebrating craftsmanship.

Zarikara was born from that belief.

It is not just a brand, it is a reflection of everything I value which is individuality, heritage, and the rare beauty of something made by hand. Every saree is singular, every piece is intentional created to exist as it is, never to be replicated.

This journey is my reminder to myself and to anyone reading that you don’t have to follow a path just because it’s expected. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is choose differently, and have the courage to build something that truly feels like you.
